It is a marathon not a sprint
July 20, 2011 is the day we settled on our Forever Home aka Scary House. It was over 100 degrees out and when we entered the house I remember thinking "why would anyone buy a house without air conditioning?" As we approach similar weather today in 2017, I still wonder "why would anyone buy a house without air conditioning?" While so much has changed my feelings on air conditioning apparently remain the same. Despite how overwhelming it was to take this project on, I really did believe we would be done renovations by my 50th birthday. Can you say "JackAss party of 1!" As my 50th is only three short years from now, I am more realistic in looking to finish before I retire because this house has taught me one thing...it is a marathon not a sprint...especially when you have a toddler.
