My Office Reveal

Don't think I was overly ambitious on my Pinterestcation, my office took months to complete and now I am ready for the reveal.  The room originally had dark wallpaper which distracted from all the great features in the room. 

Here is a breakdown on the work involved.....

This is original picture of the room which was used as a living room for the apartment they had in the back of the house.

First step was to remove the wallpaper.  I learned a lot during this process.....get the wallpaper steamer.  We took this down the old fashion way and it took days.

 After removing the wallpaper, we cleaned and painted the room.  I refinished my desk and spend over 40 hours a week in this room.  Unfortunately I never unpacked our box of files so over the last year all our paperwork wound up in piles around the room.  Every time we needed something we had to rummage through the piles.  This is something out of the show Hoarders.  Maybe I should spend less time doing Powerpoints and redirect my organizational skills elsewhere. 

 And here is how it looks today..........................

The chandelier is from the dining room and eventually it will be hung in the room....for another day!
