The history behind 870

The house was built in 1890.  When we looked at the house for the first time we found blue prints in the office.  The original drawings along with one's from an addition added in the 1900's.  We also found a number of sketches of the original home.  During our second visit to the home we found a book, well maybe we found boxes of a book of poems by Dorothy McCartney.  When I went home I googled her and found she died January 9, 2010 at the age of 96.  We also discovered she died 6 days after her husband, John, 90.  We later found out they passed away in the home they lived in for over 50 years.  Once I heard the story I was confident we were suppose to live in the house and we set out to make it  our Forever Home.
