We made it, Christmas with the family 2011
We worked nonstop day and night for weeks and it was all worth it. When everyone arrived on Christmas Eve the plastics was off the floors, the construction lights were put away, the tree was lite, the entry way was decorated and the candles were burning on the mantel and in the fireplace. The beds were made and set with monogrammed towels and Godiva chocolate. We even managed to have Christmas pictures from years past framed and placed around the house....as everyone arrived, the house finally became a home. It was wonderful to have the Piesetzkies, Raimondos and the Longs for a Christmas Eve gathering. The kids ran around the house exploring the various doorways leading to different rooms. While Frankie and I prepared the food, Vince was the gracious host given tours of the house so everyone could see how far we have come. Everyone kept talking about their favorite features of the house, from the trim, to the doorways, to the kitchen counter top. The rest of the weekend continued to bring life into the house as our family used the new bathroom for the first time, having meals at the dining room table and having the family explore our property...which revealed a number of new and interesting findings.
Thanks to our family for the help and support this year. We are so happy you were there to share in this special time in our lives.
